I have been a Realtor in Hendersonville since 1997. I joined Preferred Real Estate as an owner in 1999. Graduate of Cumbie Institute as Salesman and Broker. Graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BA in Gen. Bus. Currently the Broker-in-Charge at Preferred Real Estate

Experience & Background:
I have been involved in the sales field for Thirty plus years. I was an International Sales Manager for the eleven years prior to coming to Hendersonville. Real Estate has always interested me so I took the salesman class to learn more about all the laws involved. I enjoyed that class so I continued on and got my brokers license. After working for one of the larger firms, I decided that if I was going to continue in this field, I would have to have more leeway to serve my customers in a way they deserved and not having the company line dictating the process. I decided the only way to accomplish that would be to own my own company. When I was asked to join Preferred Real Estate, it was the best of both worlds. I still have a support group but am able to operate as my own boss.

Strengths & Motivations:
Dedication to my clients has been my strength in sales over the past 30 years. A continuing quest for knowledge about my "craft" keeps me up to date with all the new rules and regulations required to sell Real Estate in North Carolina.

Personal & Community Interests:
Jim has been happily married to Deronda since 1972 and have three wonderful children. Two boys, Jim and Quinn, both married and living in the Chapel Hill/Raleigh area. His daughter, Katie, is a student in her final year at NC State in Raleigh. His boys have blessed him with three boy grandchildren and a fourth grandbaby boy on the way. Jim is a board of directors member to the Hendersonville Council on Aging and is also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic service organization. There is very little in my life that is secret. If you meet me you know everything about me. I enjoy golfing (just not very good at it) I love woodworking and am busy with projects for my grandchildren. I am an avid sports fan and follow most of the Chicago teams
